St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, invites applications for admission to its Ph.D. (Science) program for the academic year 2024-25 in the following subjects:

• Life Science – 1 Seat
• Biochemistry – 1 Seat

Eligibility

• Candidates must have qualified the PET (Ph.D. Entrance Test) conducted by the University of Mumbai or be exempted from PET as per University of Mumbai Circular No. Exam/Thesis/Univ/VCD/947 of 2018.
• Candidates must have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university.

Application Process

• Application Start Date: February 17, 2025
• Last Date for Submission: March 4, 2025
• Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format along with the following self-attested documents:
  1. Copy of Curriculum Vitae
  2. Copies of M.Sc. and T.Y.B.Sc. Mark Sheets & Convocation Certificate
  3. Copy of PET/NET/SET/M.Phil. certificate (if applicable)
  4. Caste certificate (if applicable)
  5. NOC from employer (if currently employed)
  6. Approval letter, teaching experience certificate, and NOC for faculty members
• Candidates must submit a hard copy of the application form by speed post, courier, or in person to:

• Soft copies will not be accepted.

Application Fee

• Rs. 500 (Non-Refundable) to be paid via Demand Draft in favor of “The Bombay St. Xavier’s College Society”.
• The envelope should be marked “Application for Ph.D. Degree in Life Science / Biochemistry”.

Selection Process

• Eligible candidates will be called for an interview. The date and time will be announced on the college website (www.xaviers.edu).
• No separate communication will be sent for the interview.
