The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the Civil Services Examination 2025 to recruit for various services, including IAS, IPS, IFS, and others.

UPSC Civil Services Examination 2025 Last Date and other Important Dates:

  1. Release of Notification: January 22, 2025.
  2. Last Date for Submission of Online Applications: February 11, 2025, till 6:00 PM.
  3. Modification Window for Applications: February 12 to February 18, 2025.
  4. Date of Preliminary Examination: May 25, 2025.
  5. Issuance of Admit Cards: Last working day of the week preceding the examination.

Eligibility

  • Nationality: Indian citizens for IAS, IPS, and IFS; specific conditions apply for other services.
  • Age Limits: Candidates must be aged between 21 and 32 years as of August 1, 2025. Relaxation applies for reserved categories.
  • Educational Qualification: Graduation from a recognized university or equivalent.

Number of Attempts:

  • General: 6 attempts.
  • OBC: 9 attempts.
  • SC/ST: Unlimited (age limits apply).

Application Fee:

  • General/OBC/EWS: ₹100.
  • Female/SC/ST/PwBD: Exempted.

Exam Centers: The Preliminary Examination will be conducted across multiple centers nationwide. Selection of the center will be on a first-apply-first-allot basis.

Plan of Examination:

  1. Preliminary Examination: Two objective-type papers for screening.
  2. Main Examination: Written and personality test to assess suitability.

How to Apply: Candidates must apply online through UPSC Online Portal. First-time applicants must register on the One-Time Registration (OTR) platform before filling out the application form.

Key Instructions:

  • Carry a valid photo ID while appearing for the examination.
  • No provision for safe-keeping of valuables at the examination center.
  • Adherence to the guidelines is mandatory, including restrictions on electronic devices.
