The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University
The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai, invites applications for admission to its Ph.D. Research Programme (Full-time/Part-time) for the academic year 2025-26. A total of 121 vacancies are available, including 85 in Law and 36 in Interdisciplinary Studies. The university reserves the right to fill any additional vacancies that arise during the admission process.
Eligibility
Admission will be based on the UGC Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree Regulations, 2022 and the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University Ph.D. Regulations, 2024.
Application Process
- The Application Form and Prospectus will be available for download from the university website from 7 February 2025.
- Candidates must submit a duly filled application form along with a demand draft of:
- Rs. 1,500/- for General candidates
- Rs. 1,000/- for SC/ST candidates
- The demand draft should be drawn in favor of “The Registrar, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University”, payable at Chennai.

Selection Process
- Selection and admission will be in accordance with the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
