LM Thapar School of Management, a constituent of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed-to-be-University), invites applications for its flagship MBA Programme (2025-27). Established in 2007, LMTSM offers a transformative learning environment set on a 33-acre tech-savvy campus in Patiala, Punjab. The program equips students with global business insights, entrepreneurial skills, and a solutions-driven mindset.

Thapar School MBA Eligibility

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university/institute (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
A professional qualification (CA/ICWA/ACS) with a pass in all sections.
Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying examination can also apply, provided they submit proof of qualification by 30th June 2025.
Exceptional managerial/leadership potential with at least one year of experience may qualify candidates with less than 50% marks.
A valid score in CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT/GRE/CMAT/MAT/SNAP or TMAT (Thapar Management Aptitude Test) is mandatory.

Admission Process

Professional Readiness:
- Applicants are assessed through a personal interview based on motivation, leadership potential, and problem-solving aptitude.
- Candidates must submit a 3-minute video before the interview highlighting:
  - Motivation for pursuing an MBA
  - Unique qualities about themselves
  - Their vision for “New India.”
Academic Readiness:
- Scores from CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT/GRE/CMAT/MAT/SNAP.
- Candidates without these scores can take the TMAT, conducted during the interview process.
Academic History:
- Performance in Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation (penultimate year).

Final merit is computed as follows:

Professional Readiness: 45%
Academic Readiness: 40%
Academic History: 15%
