Eligibility
- Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 55 percent marks (50 percent for SC/ST/Cat-1/Physically Challenged candidates) from a recognized university.
- Candidates with UGC-JRF/UGC-CSIR-JRF/NET/SLET/GATE/GRE are exempted from the entrance test.
Application Process
- Candidates must apply online through UUCMS Portal: https://uucms.karnataka.gov.in.
- Application Fee:
- Rs. 2,200 for General/OBC candidates
- Rs. 1,100 for SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates
- Fee payment should be made through Demand Draft/Challan in favor of “The Finance Officer, Rani Channamma University, Belagavi.”
- Last Date for Submission: March 3, 2025
- Last Date with Penalty of Rs. 300: March 7, 2025
Selection Process
- Candidates must appear for the RCU Ph.D. Entrance Test followed by an interview.
- Those exempted from the entrance test will be informed separately for the interview.

- A total of 125 Ph.D. seats are available across various departments. The category-wise vacancy list is available on the university website.
Additional Instructions
- Candidates seeking reservation benefits must submit valid caste and income certificates.
- Part-time Ph.D. applicants must be full-time government employees and must submit a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.
- Incomplete applications and those without necessary documents will be rejected.
