One-Year Full-Time Residential Programme

The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), under the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, invites applications for its esteemed Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM) for the academic session 2025-26. This program is aimed at nurturing a cadre of skilled professionals dedicated to rural development.
About the Programme
NIRDPR, a premier institution in rural development, engages in teaching, training, research, action research, and consultancy to build capacities for rural development. The PGDRDM is designed to impart management techniques to enhance the understanding and practices of rural development.
Eligibility
- Academic Qualification:
- Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST and PWD candidates) or equivalent in Graduation.
- Final-year students expecting to complete their degree by June 15, 2025, are also eligible to apply.
- Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on graduation marks.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI) for final selection.
Programme Details
- Duration: One year (Full-time residential).
- Course Fee: ₹2,31,000/- per annum.
- Boarding & Lodging: ₹1,17,000/- per annum (accommodation in the NIRDPR hostel).
- Caution Deposit: ₹10,000/- (refundable).
- Seat Registration Fee: ₹20,000/- (non-refundable; adjusted against the first trimester fee).
Scholarships
- Merit-based scholarships for outstanding performance during trimester examinations as per NIRDPR policy.
- Financial assistance from the North Eastern Council, Shillong, for economically backward students from the North Eastern states.
Reservations
Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) as per Government of India norms.
Placement Assistance
While placement is not guaranteed, NIRDPR has consistently achieved a 100% placement track record across previous batches.

- Application Fee:
- ₹400/- for General candidates.
- ₹200/- for SC/ST, EWS, and PWD candidates (to be paid online).
