Admission Notification for MBA Program 2025-27
NIT Rourkela invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program for the academic session 2025-27. This program is offered by the School of Management, NIT Rourkela, renowned for its focus on academic excellence and practical exposure.
NIT ROURKELA MBA 2025 – Eligibility
- Educational Qualification:
- General Category: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale).
- SC/ST Category: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA.
- The degree must be from a recognized university or institution as per UGC/AICTE norms.
- Final Year Students: Candidates appearing in their final semester/year examination can also apply. They must provide proof of eligibility by 30th September 2025, failing which their admission will stand canceled.
Selection Procedure
The selection process involves two stages:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT scores.
- Final Selection: Candidates shortlisted will be evaluated through:
- Career Marks: Weightage of 90 points.
- Work Experience: Weightage of 10 points.
- Group Discussion (GD): Weightage of 100 points.
- Personal Interview (PI): Weightage of 100 points.
- Total: 300 points.
To qualify, candidates must secure a minimum of 50% of the total marks, irrespective of their category.

- OBPH (OBC-PwD): 01
- SC: 10
- SCPH (SC-PwD): 01

If seats in reserved categories remain vacant, they may be filled by general category candidates.
Program Fee Structure
- One-Time Fees:
- Admission Fee: ₹2,500
- Institute Emergency Fund: ₹5,000
- Caution Money (Refundable): ₹10,000
- Per Semester Fees:
- Tuition Fee: ₹1,00,000
- Other Fees (Exam, Library, etc.): ₹3,000
- Student Activity Fee: ₹2,000
- Medical & Insurance Fees: ₹2,000
- Hostel Seat Rent: ₹5,000
- Hall Dues (Approx.): ₹30,000
- Hostel Establishment Fee: ₹5,000
Total Fee for 1st Semester: ₹1,64,500
How to Apply
- Application Form: Submit the application online through the official portal: eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in.
- Application Fee: ₹500, payable via SBI Collect (Online SBI Portal).
- Supporting Documents: Shortlisted candidates must provide original documents (from HSC onwards) for verification during GD/PI.
