The National Testing Agency (NTA), under the direction of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), invites online applications for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2025 for admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2025-26.

About ITEP:

The Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) is a dual-major degree designed for candidates aspiring to become teachers. It includes:

  • Education (with School Specific Stage Specialization)
  • A Second Major in an Opted Discipline
    The program is offered in selected Central/State Universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges across India.

Eligibility:

  1. Academic Qualification: Candidates must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  2. Minimum Marks: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria specified by the University/Institution they are applying to.
  3. Age Limit: There is no specific age limit. However, institutions may have their own criteria.

Exam Structure & Pattern:

Mode of Examination:

  • Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Medium of Exam: The test will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

Subjects & Question Distribution:

The NCET 2025 consists of four sections, and candidates must attempt questions based on their chosen subjects:

    • Based on Class 12 syllabus (CBSE/State Board equivalent).

Test Cities:

NCET 2025 will be conducted in 178 cities across India. Candidates can select two preferred cities while applying. The final test city will be assigned based on availability.

Important Instructions for NCET 2025 Candidates :

  • Candidates must read the Information Bulletin available on the NTA website before applying.
  • Ensure that all eligibility requirements for the desired university are met before selecting subjects.
  • No corrections will be allowed after the correction window closes.
  • Admit cards will only be available online; no physical copies will be sent.
  • Candidates must bring a valid photo ID and admit card to the examination center.
