JEST 2025 is a premier national-level examination conducted annually to select candidates for MSc, PhD, and Integrated PhD programs in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science. It serves as a gateway for admission to leading research institutions across India.

JEST 2025 Application Details:

  • Application Portal Opens: January 2025 (tentative).
  • Fee Structure:
    • Female applicants (SC/ST): Fully waived
    • Female applicants (non-SC/ST): ₹475
    • SC/ST (male), EWS, differently-abled applicants: ₹475
    • All other applicants: ₹950

JEST 2025 Admission Process:

  1. JEST Examination: The test evaluates candidates at an advanced BSc or MSc level.
  2. Further Selection:
    • Candidates must apply separately to their preferred institutions.
    • Shortlisted candidates may undergo interviews for final selection.

  • Qualifying in JEST does not guarantee a fellowship. Candidates must apply directly to institutions for specific programs.
  • SERB-funded fellows qualifying through JEST are eligible for relevant fellowships.
