Admission Alert Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE Advanced 2025 )

The JEE (Advanced) 2025, conducted by the IITs under the Joint Admission Board (JAB), is the gateway for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other premier institutions. Candidates who qualify in JEE (Advanced) 2025 will be eligible for admission to various undergraduate B.Tech., B.S., B.Arch., Dual Degree, and Integrated Master’s programs at IITs.


JEE Advanced 2025 Last Date to Apply

  • Online Registration Begins: April 23, 2025
  • Last Date for Online Registration: May 2, 2025
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: May 5, 2025
  • Admit Card Download: May 11 – May 18, 2025
  • JEE (Advanced) 2025 Examination:May 18, 2025 (Sunday)
    • Paper 1: 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • Paper 2: 02:30 PM – 05:30 PM
  • Result Declaration: To be announced

Eligibility

Candidates must satisfy the following five criteria to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2025:

Performance in JEE (Main) 2025

  • Only the top 2,50,000 candidates from JEE (Main) 2025 (B.E./B.Tech. Paper), including all categories, are eligible.
  • Category-wise distribution:
    • OPEN: 1,01,250
    • GEN-EWS: 25,000
    • OBC-NCL: 67,500
    • SC: 37,500
    • ST: 18,750
    • PwD (across all categories): 5% reservation

Age Limit

  • Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 2000.
  • SC, ST, and PwD candidates have a five-year relaxation (born on or after October 1, 1995).

Number of Attempts

  • A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years.

Appearance in Class XII (or Equivalent) Examination

  • Candidates must have appeared for the first time in 2024 or 2025 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Previous Admission at IITs

  • Candidates who have already been admitted to any IIT or whose admission was canceled after joining are not eligible.

    Registration Process & Fees

    • Candidates must register online at jeeadv.ac.in.
    • Registration Fees for Examination Centres in India:
      • Female candidates (all categories): ₹1,600
      • SC/ST/PwD candidates: ₹1,600
      • All other candidates: ₹3,200
    • Registration Fees for Examination Centres in Foreign Countries:
      • SAARC Country Candidates: USD 100
      • Non-SAARC Country Candidates: USD 200

    Examination Pattern

    • Mode of Examination: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
    • Papers: Two compulsory papers (Paper 1 & Paper 2), each of three hours.
    • Subjects Covered:
      • Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
      • Multiple-choice, numerical, and comprehension-based questions
      • Negative marking applicable

    JEE (Advanced) 2025 provides admission to the 23 IITs in India, including:

    • IIT Bombay
    • IIT Delhi
    • IIT Madras
    • IIT Kanpur
    • IIT Kharagpur
    • IIT Roorkee
    • IIT Guwahati
    • IIT Hyderabad, and others.

    Other institutes that accept JEE (Advanced) ranks include:

    • Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs)
    • Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram
    • Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT), Rae Bareli

    Seat Reservation Policy

    • GEN-EWS: 10%
    • OBC-NCL: 27%
    • SC: 15%
    • ST: 7.5%
    • PwD: 5%
    • Female Supernumerary Quota to ensure at least 20% female enrolment.

    2. Pay the registration fee through online mode.
    3. Upload required documents:
      • Class X & XII marksheets
      • Category certificate (if applicable)
      • PwD certificate (if applicable)
      • Recent passport-size photograph
