The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Nagpur (IIITN), an Institution of National Importance, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for admission to its PhD Programme under the Visvesvaraya Full-time PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT: Phase II for the 2024-25 academic session.
IIT Nagpur Phd 2025 Programme Details
- Full-time PhD programme supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India.
- Research focus areas include Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) and IT/IT Enabled Services (IT/ITES).
- Fellowship of ₹38,750 per month for the first 2 years and ₹43,750 per month from the 3rd year onwards, along with a research contingency grant.

Eligibility
- Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with First Class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in ECE/IT/CSE or allied disciplines.
- Valid GATE score is desirable but not mandatory.
Selection Process
- Stage 1: Written/Computer-Based Test (CBT) covering general ability and technical subjects.
- Stage 2: Personal Interview for shortlisted candidates.
- Final Selection: Based on Written Test, Interview, and GATE score (if applicable).
