IISER Pune invites online applications for admission to the MSc Programme in Chemistry for the August 2025 session.
Areas of Study Organic Chemistry, Biological Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Organometallic Chemistry, Main Group Chemistry, Transition Metal Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Materials Chemistry, Catalysis, Spectroscopy, Quantum Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, Theoretical Chemistry, etc.
Eligibility
- Students must have a minimum of 60% marks overall (not only in the majoring subject) OR an equivalent C.G.P.A on a 10-point scale. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, a minimum of 55% overall percentage or an equivalent C.G.P.A on a 10-point scale in BSc or an equivalent degree with Chemistry as one of the main subjects is required.
- Qualified JAM 2025 (Chemistry): The rank must be valid at the time of admission. Candidates will be shortlisted based on JAM rank.
- Candidates in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree are also eligible to apply. However, final selection is subject to successful completion of the Bachelor’s degree with the above-mentioned requirements at the time of admission.
Application Process
- Only online applications will be accepted. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- Candidates must carefully fill and submit the online application form on or before April 30, 2025.
- After the last date, all applications will be screened, and the list of selected candidates will be released.
- A standard non-refundable application fee applies to all programme applications.

- Relaxation of eligibility criteria for SC, ST, and PwD applicants will be as per Government of India norms. Selected candidates from the reserved category must submit relevant certificates.
