M Tech Programmes
Departments & Selection Procedure
- Based on 100% GATE Score: Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, Sustainable Technologies, Semiconductor Technology, Earth & Climate Sciences, Signal Processing.
- Based on 70% GATE Score + 30% Interview: Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronic Product Design, Electronic Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Microelectronics & VLSI Design, Mobility Engineering, Quantum Technology, Robotics & Autonomous Systems, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Mobility & Logistics Systems.
- Based on 70% GATE Score + 30% Written Test: Artificial Intelligence, Chemical Engineering.
- Based on 70% GATE Score + 30% Written Test + Interview: Computational & Data Sciences.
Eligibility
- A minimum of Second Class or equivalent in a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent recognized by MoE/UPSC/AICTE.
- Valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 score is mandatory.
Master of Design (M Des) Programme
Eligibility
- A minimum of Second Class in BE/BTech/BArch/Design or equivalent.
- Valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 or CEED 2025/CAT 2024 score.
Selection Procedure
- 70% GATE/CEED/CAT Score + 30% Interview Performance.
- M Des (through GATE) admissions will be processed via COAP.
Master of Management (M Mgt) Programme
Eligibility
- A minimum of First Class in a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology.
- Valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 or CAT 2024 or GMAT score.
Selection Procedure
- 15% GATE/CAT/GMAT Score + 15% UG Performance + 30% Communication Skill + 40% Interview Performance.
M Tech Through CFTI Mode of Entry
Departments & Selection Procedure
- Based on 70% Career Analysis Marks (CAM) Score + 30% Interview: Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronic Product Design, Electronic Systems Engineering, Instrumentation Systems, Quantum Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics & Autonomous Systems.
- Based on 70% CAM Score + 30% Written Test: Artificial Intelligence.
- Based on 100% CAM Score: Semiconductor Technology.
- Based on 70% CAM Score + 30% Written Test & Interview: Computational & Data Sciences.
Eligibility
- Candidates from a Centrally Funded Technical Institution (CFTI) with minimum CGPA of 8.0/10 are eligible to apply without GATE.
Master of Engineering (M Engg) Programme in Semiconductor Technology
Eligibility
- BE/B Tech or equivalent (GATE papers: EC, EE, IN, ME, MT, PH, BM, XE-C).
- MSc or equivalent in Electronics/Physics (GATE papers: EC, IN, PH).
- CFTI graduates with CGPA ≥ 8.0 (without GATE).
Selection Procedure
- For GATE-qualified applicants: 100% GATE Score.
- For CFTI graduates: 100% Career Analysis Marks (CAM) Score.
Joint M Tech Programme in Semiconductor Technology with Taiwanese Universities
Eligibility
- Same as IISc’s M Tech in Semiconductor Technology (when IISc is the parent institute).
- Eligibility as per Taiwanese University’s criteria (when they are the parent institute).
Selection Procedure
- For GATE-qualified applicants: 100% GATE Score.
- For CFTI graduates: 100% Career Analysis Marks (CAM) Score.
