Admission Alert: IISc External PhD and MTech (Research) Program for the Year 2025

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, invites applications for admission to its External Registration Programme (ERP) [PhD/M Tech (Research)] for the academic year 2025-26.
Who Can Apply?
The External Registration Programme (ERP) is designed for:
- Professionals from R&D organizations/industries.
- Faculty members from Engineering, Agricultural, Pharmaceutical, Veterinary, Medical Colleges/Universities recognized by government agencies.
Eligibility
Candidates must meet the same educational qualifications as required for regular PhD/M Tech (Research) applicants. Additionally, they must:
- Have completed two years of full-time employment in their current organization after obtaining the qualifying degree.
- Be officially sponsored by their employing organization.
- Qualifying in GATE/CSIR-UGC NET for JRF/UGC-NET for JRF/DBT JRF/ICMR JRF/NBHM is desirable but not mandatory.
Selection Procedure for IISc External PhD MTech (Research)
Candidates will be shortlisted and selected based on their performance in the interview.
