The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts

About IGNCA

The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), set up in 1987 by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, works to explore, study, and share Indian arts. It also promotes cultural exchange with neighboring countries in South and Southeast Asia. IGNCA focuses on many areas of art, including literature (written and oral), visual arts (like architecture, sculpture, and painting), photography, films, performing arts (music, dance, and theater), and art-related festivals.

To encourage interest in Indian arts and train skilled professionals, IGNCA is offering the following one-year Post Graduate Diploma Courses:

IGNCA PG Diploma 2025 Programs

  1. Post Graduate Diploma in Cultural Informatics (PGDCI)
  2. Post Graduate Diploma in Preventive Conservation (PGDPC)
  3. Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library and Data Management (PGDDLDM)
  4. Post Graduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies (PGDBS)
  5. Post Graduate Diploma in Manuscriptology and Palaeography (PGDMP)
  6. Post Graduate Diploma in South East Asian Studies (PGDSEAS)
  7. Post Graduate Diploma in Cultural Management (PGDCM)
  8. Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Museology (PGDAM)
  9. Post Graduate Diploma in Hindu Studies (PGDHS)
  10. Post Graduate Diploma in Indian Literature (PGDIL)
  11. Post Graduate Diploma in Bhartiya Gyan Parampara (PGDBGP)
  12. Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Culture of India (PGDTCI)

IGNCA will start classes for these Post Graduate Diploma Courses (academic year 2024-25) in July 2025.
