Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025
The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), Hamirpur, invites applications for the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025 for admission to various Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) technical and professional courses for the academic session 2025-26.
Courses Offered:
- UG Courses: B.Tech (Direct Entry), B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry), B.Sc. (Hotel Management & Catering Technology), BHMCT.
- PG Courses: MBA, MBA (Tourism & Hospitality Management), MCA, M.Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences).
Eligibility:
- B.Tech (Direct Entry): Passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry/Biology/Technical Vocational subject, or passed D.Voc. in the same/allied sector with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
- B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry): Passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry along with Mathematics/Biology with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). Minimum age of 17 years on or before December 31, 2025.
- B.Sc. (HM & CT)/BHMCT: Passed 10+2 in any stream with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories).
- MBA/MBA (T&HM): Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- MCA: Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- M.Sc. (Physics): B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Honors in Physics with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
- M.Sc. (Environmental Sciences): Bachelor’s degree in any branch of basic/applied sciences, engineering, medical sciences, pharmacy, or architecture with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
HPCET 2025 Examination Schedule:
- B.Tech & B.Pharmacy: May 10, 2025 (9:00 AM – 12:15 PM)
- M.Sc. Physics: May 10, 2025 (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
- MBA, MBA (T&HM), MCA, B.Sc. (HM & CT)/BHMCT: May 10, 2025 (2:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
- M.Sc. Environmental Sciences: May 11, 2025 (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM)
Application Procedure:
- Applications must be submitted online at www.himtu.ac.in
- Online Registration starts from January 31, 2025 and closes on April 18, 2025.
- The application process includes creating an account, filling personal and academic details, uploading documents, and fee payment.
Application Fee:
- SC/ST/BPL: INR 800 per course
- Others: INR 1600 per course
HPCET 2025 Test Centers:
- For B.Tech & B.Pharmacy: Bilaspur, Chamba, Hamirpur, Mandi, Kangra, Shimla, Solan, Kullu, Sirmour, Una, and Chandigarh.
- For MBA, MCA, B.Sc. (HM & CT), M.Sc. Physics & Environmental Sciences: Hamirpur, Mandi, Kangra, and Solan.
Result Declaration:
- Tentative Date: May 21, 2025
- Results will be published on www.himtu.ac.in.
Counseling:
- After the results, candidates must apply separately for centralized counseling on the university website.
- Prospectus Part-II with detailed counseling instructions will be available in May 2025.
- Counseling and Admissions: June 2025
- Commencement of Classes: Last week of July/First week of August 2025
