BA Hons Psychology at DU
The B.A. (Hons.) in Psychology is an in-depth undergraduate program designed to introduce students to the fundamental and advanced concepts of human behavior, cognition, and emotions. Only 12 Colleges in DU conduct this course and many of it are women colleges. This course provides a strong theoretical foundation along with research-oriented insights, preparing students to analyze psychological phenomena scientifically. The curriculum explores areas such as biopsychology, cognitive psychology, research methodologies, social psychology, counseling psychology, and industrial-organizational psychology.
There is a sudden demand for Psychologists in India in the last few years and hence this program has become very popular in recent years. Graduates of this program can pursue careers in clinical psychology, human resources, counseling, research, social work, and other related fields.
Eligibility
Admission to the program requires candidates to take CUET (UG) – 2025 with the following subject combination:
- One language from List A + Two subjects from List B1 + One subject from either List B1 or List B2
The merit list will be prepared based on CUET scores obtained in the mentioned subject combination. Candidates must ensure they appear for CUET in subjects they studied in Class XII.
