Academic Session: 2025–26

Applications are invited for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years) programme in the academic session 2025-26 through the Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET) – 2025, to be conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow. Admissions to the following institutes will be done exclusively through this entrance test:

1. All Government/Private Nursing Colleges affiliated to ABVMU
2. SGPGIMS, Lucknow
3. KGMU, Lucknow
4. RMLIMS, Lucknow
5. UPUMS, Saifai
6. LLRM, Meerut

• Online Application Starts: 24 March 2025 (Monday)
• Last Date to Apply: 26 April 2025 (Saturday), 11:59 PM
• Form Correction Window: 19 April to 26 April 2025
• Admit Card Download: From 14 May 2025 (Wednesday)
• Entrance Examination Date: 21 May 2025 (Wednesday)

Eligibility

• Minimum Age: 17 years as on or before 31 December 2025
• Educational Qualification:
• 10+2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) and English from recognized board with:
• General Category: Minimum 45% aggregate in PCB
• SC/ST/OBC: Minimum 40% aggregate in PCB
• Candidates from State Open School or NIOS (Science stream with English) are eligible
• English must be a compulsory subject
• Colour blind candidates are eligible with corrective lenses
• Married candidates are eligible
• Medical Fitness: Required for final admission (to be certified by Govt. Medical Board)

Reservation Policy

• Reservations as per UP Government norms
• Domicile requirement for Govt. Nursing Colleges: Candidate must have a valid UP domicile certificate or must have passed both 10th and 12th from Uttar Pradesh
• EWS Quota: 10% (valid certificate issued after 1 April 2025)
• OBC Quota: Valid OBC certificate issued after 1 April 2025
• PwD Quota: 5% for locomotor disability (40–50% of lower extremity), subject to medical board verification
• Valid certificates required for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/NCC/Ex-Servicemen/Freedom Fighter categories

Entrance Exam Details (CNET 2025 )

• Mode: Offline (OMR-based), Bilingual (English & Hindi)
• Total Questions: 120 MCQs
• Duration: 140 minutes (11:00 AM – 1:20 PM)
• Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer, No negative marking
• Syllabus Distribution:
  • Nursing Aptitude – 20%
  • Physics – 20%
  • Chemistry – 20%
  • Biology – 20%
  • English – 20% (All subjects of 10+2 level)
• Qualifying Percentile:
  • General: 50th percentile
  • General (PwD): 45th percentile
  • SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile
  • SC/ST/OBC (PwD): 40th percentile

Examination Centres

CNET will be conducted in major cities of Uttar Pradesh including but not limited to: Agra, Aligarh, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Basti, Banda, Ghaziabad, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Meerut, Mirzapur, Moradabad, Prayagraj, Saharanpur, Varanasi, and Gautam Buddha Nagar.

Application Process (Online Only)

2. Register with valid email and mobile number (OTP verification mandatory)
3. Fill Application Form in stages: Personal info, Address, Educational Details, Centre Preference, Upload Photo & Signature, Bank Details, Live Photo Upload
4. Upload Documents:
   • Passport photo (with name & date)
   • Signature (black pen, not in capital letters)
   • Filled Verification Sheet (download from portal)
   • Copy of Bank Passbook / Cancelled Cheque
5. Pay Application Fee
6. Submit Final Form

Admit Card

• To be downloaded from the official website using Registration ID & password
• Carry color printout of admit card and valid ID proof
• Digital or soft copies not accepted
• Admit card will include exam venue, date, and other instructions

Examination Day Instructions

• Reporting Time: 9:00 AM
• No Entry After: 10:15 AM
• Biometric verification mandatory at entry
• Barred Items: Any electronic gadgets, watches, food items, stationary, wallets, metallic items, etc.
• Unfair Means: Will lead to disqualification, cancellation of result, and 3-year ban

Result and Admission

• Result and merit list (combined and category-wise) will be declared on ABVMU website
• Tie-breaking criteria (in order):
  1. Higher marks in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Nursing Aptitude, English
  2. Older age
  3. Higher 10th board percentage (in order of Science, Math, Social Science, Hindi, English)
• Counselling: Details to be announced after result
• Admission only through centralized counselling based on CNET 2025 merit

• Admission is subject to eligibility, verification of documents and medical fitness
• University reserves the right to cancel the candidature in case of false claims
• All legal matters are subject to jurisdiction of Lucknow Courts only
• For any disputes, the decision of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, ABVMU, shall be final
