Examination Structure

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Medium: 13 Languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu)
  • Subjects Offered: 37 (Languages, Domain-Specific Subjects, and General Aptitude Test)
  • Choice of Subjects: Candidates can select up to 5 subjects
  • Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Duration: 60 minutes per test
  • Marking Scheme: +5 for correct answer, -1 for incorrect answer

Eligibility

  1. Educational Qualification: Candidates who have passed Class 12 or are appearing in 2025.
  2. Age Limit: No age limit; however, candidates must meet the specific university’s admission criteria.
  3. Qualifying Examinations: Includes Class 12 from recognized boards, AIU-certified foreign equivalents, NIOS Senior Secondary School Examination, Vocational Examination, etc.

Application Process

  1. Registration: Online at https://cuet.nta.nic.in
  2. Filling the Form: Personal details, qualification details, test subject selection, city preference
  3. Uploading Documents:
    • Photograph (10-200 kb, JPG/JPEG)
    • Signature (10-50 kb, JPG/JPEG)
    • PwD Certificate (if applicable, 50-300 kb, PDF)
  4. Fee Payment: Online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card, UPI

Examination Cities

CUET (UG) 2025 will be conducted across multiple cities in India and abroad. Candidates must choose 4 preferred cities while applying. The final allotment will be based on availability.

Admit Card

  1. Admit Cards will be available on the NTA website.
  2. Candidates must carry the Admit Card, a valid photo ID, and additional photograph to the CUET UG 2025 exam center.
  3. Any discrepancies in the Admit Card must be reported immediately to the NTA Helpdesk.

Reservation Policy

  • SC: 15%
  • ST: 7.5%
  • OBC-NCL: 27%
  • EWS: 10%
  • PwD: 5%

Candidates must provide valid certificates to claim reservation benefits.


Answer Key & Result Declaration

  1. The provisional answer key will be displayed for challenge with a fee of INR 200 per question.
  2. Final results will be based on the verified answer key.
  3. The CUET (UG) 2025 Score is valid for the academic year 2025-26 only.

Admission Process

  1. Participation in CUET does not guarantee admission; candidates must meet specific university eligibility criteria.
  2. Universities will conduct their own counseling based on CUET (UG) scores.
  3. NTA is not responsible for admissions; candidates must check the respective university’s website for details.
