JOIN INDIAN ARMY – NCC SPECIAL ENTRY SCHEME 58TH COURSE (OCT 2025)
SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (NT) FOR MEN & WOMEN
(INCLUDING WARDS OF BATTLE CASUALTIES OF ARMY PERSONNEL)

The Indian Army invites applications for the NCC Special Entry Scheme 58th Course (October 2025) for Short Service Commission (NT) for men and women, including wards of battle casualties of Army personnel.

Eligibility Criteria to Join Indian Army:
Unmarried male and unmarried female graduates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their degree and a minimum ‘B’ grade in the ‘C’ Certificate exam of NCC can apply. The age limit is 19 to 25 years as of 01 July 2025. Medical standards are as per the guidelines on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

Selection Process:
Applications will be shortlisted based on merit, followed by SSB interviews, medical examination, and final merit list. Shortlisting for SSB interviews is tentatively scheduled for the first week of April 2025, with interviews expected in May/June 2025.

Training Details:
Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officer Training Academy, Chennai, starting from October 2025. Stipend during training will be Rs. 56,100 per month. Upon commissioning, candidates will be granted the rank of Lieutenant with a salary package of approximately Rs. 17-18 LPA (excluding free medical cover and travel to home once a year).

Service Terms:
The Short Service Commission (SSC) has a minimum engagement period of 10 years, extendable up to 14 years. Candidates can opt for release after the 5th, 10th, or 14th year of service. Permanent Commission may be granted after 10 years. Candidates will serve in all Arms & Services of the Indian Army with benefits applicable upon release as per the service tenure.
