National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, an Institute of National Importance, invites applications for its two-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme for the academic session 2025-27. The MBA program is designed to provide strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills with a focus on industry-relevant knowledge.
Eligibility for NITK Surathkal MBA 2025 Program
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks (or 5.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale).
- SC/ST candidates require at least 45% marks (or 5.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale).
Entrance Exam Requirement:
- A valid score in CAT 2024, MAT (September 2024/December 2024), or GATE 2024/25.
Selection Criteria:
- 70% weightage to CAT/MAT/GATE score.
- 10% weightage to Group Discussion.
- 10% weightage to Personal Interview.
- 10% weightage to Work Experience.
The CAT cut off for the MBA Program in 2024 was 70 percentile for all categories of students.

Documents Required
Candidates must submit one set of self-attested copies of the following documents:
- Original marksheets (from first to final year).
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or provisional pass certificate.
- Scorecard of CAT 2024 / MAT (Sep/Dec 2024) / GATE 2024/25.
- Date of Birth certificate (X Std./SSLC).
- Work experience certificate (if applicable).
- Caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL) issued after 31st March 2024.
- EWS category certificate issued after 31st March 2024 (if applicable).
- Persons with Disabilities (PwD) certificate (if applicable).
- Transfer Certificate (TC) from the last institution attended.
- Conduct Certificate.
- Sponsorship Certificate (if applicable).
- Migration Certificate from the last attended university.
- Medical Certificate.
- Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhar, PAN, Passport, etc.).
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
Candidates awaiting final degree results will be provisionally admitted if they meet the eligibility criteria by 15th September 2025.

Fee Structure (Tentative) – 2025-26
The tentative total fee for the full MBA (2025-27) program at NITK Surathkal is:
- Day Scholars: ₹4,83,800
- Hostellers (Shared Accommodation): ₹5,25,480
This includes tuition fees, admission fees, hostel rent (for hostellers), and other institute charges for two years (four semesters).
Refund Policy
- Before admission closure: Full refund after ₹1,000 processing fee deduction.
- After admission closure: Only caution deposit refundable.
- No refund for students withdrawing after the course starts.
