Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship for Foreign Students 2025-2026
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Brunei Darussalam, invites applications from Indian students for the Government of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic session. This prestigious scholarship offers opportunities to pursue Diploma, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate Master’s Degree courses at leading institutions in Brunei Darussalam.

Eligibility
Age Limit:
- Undergraduate/Diploma: Applicants must not exceed 25 years of age by July 1, 2025.
- Postgraduate Master’s Degree: Applicants must not exceed 35 years of age by July 1, 2025.
Language Proficiency:
- Credit 6 in GCE ‘O’ Level English, or
- Grade ‘C’ in IGCSE English (as a second language), or
- IELTS score of 6.0, or
- TOEFL score of 550 (minimum).
Note: The scholarship is primarily intended for international students studying for the first time in Brunei Darussalam. Bruneians, Brunei Permanent Residents, and students who have previously studied in Brunei tertiary institutions are NOT eligible.

- Applicants to UBD must also apply at apply.ubd.edu.bn.
- Applicants to UTB must also apply at apply.utb.edu.bn.
- Documents Required:
- Identification Card
- Certified copies of academic qualifications and supporting documents (certificates, testimonials, transcripts)
- Certified English translations of non-English documents
- Birth Certificate or Passport (certified copies)
- References and recommendations (C1 & C2 forms)
- Interviews & Examinations: Applicants may be required to attend interviews and/or sit for language proficiency tests as determined by the respective institutions.
Scholarship Benefits:
- Tuition Fees: Full exemption from tuition fees, acceptance, examination, registration, and orientation fees.
- Airfare: Economy class airfare to and from Brunei Darussalam.
- Monthly Allowances:
- Personal Allowance: BND$500.00
- Meals Allowance: BND$150.00
- Annual Book Allowance: BND$600.00
- Accommodation: Provided at the university/polytechnic’s residential college.
- Baggage Allowance: Upon completion of the program:
- BND$250.00 for ASEAN countries
- BND$500.00 for non-ASEAN countries
- Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for the entire scholarship duration.
Terms and Conditions:
- The scholarship cannot be held concurrently with any other scholarship, fellowship, grant, or loan without prior approval.
- Recipients cannot engage in paid employment or serve in any diplomatic mission in Brunei during the scholarship.
- Family members are not encouraged to accompany recipients; no allowances or accommodations are provided for them.
- Recipients must adhere to the laws and cultural norms of Brunei Darussalam and abide by university regulations.
