Admission Alert – National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2025
The Council of Architecture (CoA) invites applications for the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2025 for admission to the First Year of the 5-year B.Arch. Degree Program in recognized institutions across India. NATA is a national-level entrance exam designed to assess the aptitude of candidates for the study of architecture. It evaluates drawing skills, observation skills, sense of proportion, aesthetic sensitivity, and critical thinking ability.
Eligibility
Candidates must have passed or be appearing in any of the following examinations:
- 10+1 Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) subjects.
- 10+2 Examination with PCM subjects.
- 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
For admission to the B.Arch. Program, candidates must meet the following requirements as per the Council of Architecture (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 2020:
- Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of Chemistry, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
- Passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as a compulsory subject with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
Examination Schedule
The NATA 2025 exam will be conducted from March 1, 2025, to June 2025. Candidates can choose their preferred dates and test centers while registering.
Test Sessions:
- Fridays:
- Afternoon Session: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
- Saturdays:
- Morning Session: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Afternoon Session: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM
Application Procedure
- Candidates must submit their applications online at www.nata.in.
- Online Registration starts from February 1, 2025.
- The application process involves the following steps:
- Filling Personal Details: Enter accurate personal and academic information.
- Uploading Documents: Upload recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the specified format.
- Fee Payment: Complete the payment of the application fee through the electronic payment gateway.
Application Fee Details:
- General/OBC (NCL): INR 1750 per test
- SC/ST/EWS/PwD: INR 1250 per test
- Transgender: INR 1000 per test
- Candidates Outside India: INR 15000 per test
Test Format:
The NATA 2025 exam consists of two parts:
- Part A: Drawing and Composition Test (Offline Mode) – 90 minutes, 80 marks
- Part B: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Numerical Choice Questions (NCQ) (Computer-based Adaptive Test) – 90 minutes, 120 marks
Syllabus
- Part A (Drawing Test): Evaluation of drawing and visual composition skills, including perspective drawing, architectural awareness, and visualization.
- Part B (MCQ & NCQ): Questions on logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, general knowledge related to architecture, and visual perception.
Qualification Required
- To qualify for NATA 2025, candidates must meet the following minimum marks criteria:
- A minimum of 20 marks out of 80 in Part A.
- A minimum of 30 marks out of 120 in Part B.
- An overall score of at least 70 marks out of 200.
Result Declaration:
- The results of NATA 2025 will be declared on the official website www.nata.in.
- Scores will be valid for one academic year.
- Candidates can attempt the exam up to three times in an academic year, and the best score among all attempts will be considered for admission.
Important Information:
- Test Centers: Test centers will be allocated based on candidate preferences and availability. A detailed list of test cities will be provided on the NATA website.

- Admit Card: Candidates must download their appointment card (admit card) from the NATA portal and carry it to the examination center along with a valid photo ID.
Note: Qualifying in NATA 2025 does not guarantee admission to any architecture program unless all eligibility criteria prescribed by the Council of Architecture and respective admission authorities are met.
