Patliputra University, Patna, invites online applications for the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT-2025) for admission to the Ph.D. program. Eligible candidates can apply through the university website from 30.01.2025 to 15.02.2025 (with a late fee up to 22.02.2025).
Eligibility, Exemptions, Application Process
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the relevant or allied subject.
- A 5% relaxation is allowed for SC/ST/EBC/OBC/Differently Abled candidates.
- Candidates appearing for their final exams are not eligible.
Exemptions from Written Test:
- Candidates with NET/IRF qualifications or research fellowships (e.g., DBT, ICMR, ICAR, DST, CSIR, etc.) are exempt.
- Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors with at least two years of service are also exempt.
- Non-teaching employees with five years of service and two published research papers are exempt.

- Fill out the online application form and submit it with the required documents and fee.

- General Category: Rs. 1500
- Reserved Categories (SC/ST/EBC/BC/Divyang/Women): Rs. 1000
- Late Fee: Rs. 500
- Test Pattern:
- Paper-I: 50 MCQs on teaching and research aptitude (100 marks).
- Paper-II: 50 MCQs from the core subject (100 marks).
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (single sitting).
- No negative marking.
- Test Date:
- 23.03.2025 (Sunday)
- Paper-I: 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM
- Paper-II: 12:30 PM to 01:45 PM
