Post-Matric Scholarships Scheme for Scheduled Caste Students

The Department of Social Justice & Empowerment announces scholarships for Scheduled Caste (SC) students to pursue higher education. This initiative aims to support students from economically weaker sections in recognized institutions across India.
Eligibility Criteria for Government Scholarship for SC Students
- Parents’/Guardians’ Annual Income: Should not exceed ₹2.50 Lakhs.
- Educational Requirements: Students must be enrolled in recognized colleges/schools pursuing courses approved under the scheme.
Scope of the Scholarship
- Covers all recognized courses from Class 11 onwards.
- Applications are accepted and verified by the State Government/Union Territory.
- Supports households under the poverty line.
Entitlements
- Fee Coverage: Non-refundable compulsory fees, including tuition fees.
- Academic Allowance: Ranges from ₹2,500 to ₹13,500 per annum, depending on the course and institution.
- Additional Benefits:
- 10% Extra Allowance for Divyangjan (specially-abled students).
