The Directorate of Distance Education at The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), Hyderabad, invites applications for the Post Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English (PGDTE) for the academic year 2024-2025.
EFLU PGDTE 2025 Program Details
- Duration: One year (December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2025)
- Study Mode: Correspondence (December to July) followed by a compulsory contact-cum-examination program in November.
- Eligibility: Applicants must have completed the Post Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of English (PGCTE) from EFL University (formerly CIEFL).
- Medium of Instruction: English.
EFLU PGDTE 2025 Curiculum
The PGDTE program includes the following six compulsory courses and a project:
- The Phonetics of English
- Principles of Language Teaching
- Testing of Language and Literature
- Indian Writing in English – I (Drama & Poetry)
- Indian Writing in English – II (Fiction & Prose)
- General and English Linguistics
