Urdu Academy, Delhi, was established by the Government of NCT of Delhi in 1981.
Its purpose is to preserve and promote the Urdu language and literature as part of Delhi’s culture.
The Academy achieves this through:
- Publications, awards, and grants.
- Literary and cultural events.
- Seminars, symposia, and lectures.
It also organizes:
- Short-term courses in Urdu language and calligraphy.
- Competitions and camps for students.
Eligibility for Urdu Certificate Course 2024-25
Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) and who can read and write English/Hindi.
Course Fees: Rs. 1000/- only
Note: Eligible candidates will be given admission based on the outcome of an interview.
